At TEE Cares, we believe that meaningful learning extends far beyond the classroom. While knowledge can be taught through books and lessons, true understanding is often developed through firsthand experiences. Through immersion in different cultures, environments, and communities, students gain deeper insights, broaden their perspectives, and develop greater confidence as global citizens. That is why we have organised a trip to Chengdu for the November school holidays.
TEE Cares Discovers Chengdu is an experiential learning journey designed to bring learning to life. By exploring historical sites, interacting with local communities, and experiencing everyday life in China, students will have the opportunity to connect classroom knowledge with authentic real-world experiences.
During the trip, students will visit some of Chengdu’s most iconic landmarks, including Kuanzhai Alley, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Sanxingdui Museum, Dujiangyan, and Mount Qingcheng. Through these experiences, students will gain a deeper appreciation of China’s rich cultural heritage, remarkable engineering achievements, and natural landscapes.
A key component of the programme is a visit to a local primary school, where students will participate in cultural exchange activities and learn about the daily lives and educational experiences of their peers in China.
The journey is designed to complement classroom learning by providing authentic experiences that encourage curiosity, foster cultural understanding, and create lasting memories that students can carry with them long after the trip has ended.
